"The next NotCo will go before Chile if the candidates do not address these issues."

"The next NotCo will go before Chile if the candidates do not address these issues," Francisco Guzmán, president of the Chilean Venture Capital Association, told La Segunda, referring to the obstacles to entrepreneurship that exist in the country.

The interview delves into an eventual strategy to avoid slowing down the momentum of Chilean startups.

Regarding the elimination of tax benefits for Private Investment Funds (PIFs): "There are exemptions that can be understood or not that we want to eliminate, but if PIFs are the only vehicle for impact investment or venture capital, the question for the candidates is what is the vehicle that will replace them? How will investment in technologystartups be encouraged in some other way? If the answer is that this has not been considered, if these issues are not discussed, there will be startups that will leave the country early and raise even their first rounds outside Chile."
