Chile managed to maintain its VC investment level in 2022

Despite the international context, in 2022 venture capital investment in the country reached US$1,019 million, almost equaling the total invested in 2021 and translating into a drop of only 0.6%.

These are part of the results of the new Impact Report 2023 that ACVC has just published.

This figure was reached with the sum of 384 deals, with an average ticket investment of US$ 2.6 million, which represented a slight decrease compared to the US$ 3 million average ticket in 2021.

Although 2022 was a year of adjustment in the VC industry, Chile is a market that only has funds that invest in rounds up to series A, so the global adjustment did not have a significant impact locally.

What did vary was the number of rounds and the total amounts raised by them, increasing and decreasing, respectively. Thus, startups continued to have access to financing, but in smaller amounts.
