Chile maintained VC investment in Q1 and Q2 2023

Although globally the venture capital industry is still in the midst of a downturn in activity, Chile has maintained its investment.

According to ACVC data, the first two quarters have had almost no variation with respect to the same period of 2022, and have even increased. Thus, today there are already US$ 628 million invested, with an average ticket of US$ 3.9 million. Last year, at the same date, disbursements reached US$ 529 million, with an average ticket of US$ 4.1 million.

The number of deals has also increased, reaching 51 this year, compared to 46 last year.

Like what is happening globally, artificial intelligence has concentrated the largest total investment amounts, followed by greentech and startups dedicated to human resources. These three verticals have raised the largest rounds so far this year.
