How to apply for venture capital and not get lost in the process

Raising venture capital funds not only requires a good application, but also knowing the methods of the process to obtain the best results. That is why the Chilean Venture Capital Association (ACVC), with the sponsorship of Amazon Web Services (AWS), will hold a workshop with everything you need to know about it.

The event will be held online on May 27 and 28, and is aimed at entrepreneurs who are preparing their venture capital fundraising process and for those who are part of the acceleration and incubation program teams.

Both days will cover topics as diverse as what venture capital is and how this industry works locally and globally; the legal and financial perspective of the process; what to expect and what to deliver in the involvement of the fund manager in the startup; and the valuation of the business.

The topics will be addressed by eight specialists with different focuses, including Francisco Guzmán, partner of Carey Abogados and president of the ACVC; Evelyn Von Bischhoffshausen, principal of Kayyak Ventures; Federico Antoni, managing partner of ALLVP; and Magdalena Guzmán, executive director of the ACVC. They will also be joined by ACVC directors Cristóbal Silva, general partner of Kayyak Ventures; Andrés Meirovich, managing partner of Genesis Ventures; Sebastián Gilbert, partner of Dadneo Capital; and Sebastián González, head of venture partnerships Hispam of Wayra.

In addition, Pedro Pineda, co-founder and CEO of Fintual, will talk about the startup's experience raising funding. While Federico Antoni will be his counterpart and will talk about how the process is lived from the funding side.

Registration for the workshop is open at https://bit.ly/3uHapnl and both women entrepreneurs and ACVC members have a 20% discount.
